Obsessional book hunter, Lucas Corso, is asked to authenticate a Dumas manuscript. Persuaded that there may be an occult link between this and another text owned by a wealthy Spanish dealer, which purports to instruct on invoking the Devil, he sets out on a hunt that becomes a dangerous drama.
